Gender Clinicians Are Not Our Friends: A Homosexual & Bisexual Human Rights Perspective
This will be an angry but informed rant about gender clinicians because I have watched them since 2015, and now years later, I see their conduct is much worse than I had imagined it could possibly be.
For several years, mental health and medical professionals who support the “affirmative model” and medicalization of minors to treat gender dysphoria have been touting pediatric social and medical transition for children and teens as “safe and reversible.” Stories of transition regret and serious medical damage are rising, with members of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) now admitting they have destroyed the sexual function of all Tanner 2 stage male children (age 9-14) who want to be girls. There is no widespread call to halt this process. Hundreds of gender clinics are now open for the purpose of medicalizing tweens, and parents are discussing putting their male children on puberty blockers in “trans kid” social media groups numbering in thousands of people.
Many of these same professionals are the ones who have been telling us they know a true “trans child” when they see one and not to worry about minors who may outgrow gender dysphoria (a likely LGB person).
Why should the public trust a single thing these individuals say? They have proven themselves reckless, careless, and dangerous, failing to consider obvious risks, demonizing those who do consider them, and treating any potential or real-world damage as morally worthy sacrifices.
