Most humans have the same basic needs and emotions. Relationships all share similar difficulties. There are some unique issues involving same-sex relationships between women. I think the most important issue that lesbians and bisexuals in same-sex relationships need to be aware of is that these relationships actually have pretty high break-up rates (many women in our community already know this). With more self-awareness about this and other issues specific to our community, we can hopefully make the best decisions and plans for our health and happiness. What can we do to plan for a sustained, lifelong relationship if that is what we want? Is marriage even right for me? Is monogamy the best choice for me? How can I provide the most stable environment for my child?
